Merry Christmas from All Reverse Mortgage Company

Over the last year we have had many opportunities to rebut various articles which didn't quite get all the facts right about reverse mortgages. It never ceased to amaze us when an author completely mis-stated the facts of the reverse mortgage program or the same erroneous "facts" popped up in marketplace after marketplace around the nation with the same borrower purporting to be a local resident who had been wronged due to the receipt of a reverse mortgage.

Then after just a small modicum of research, we found that all these articles were referring to the same person and all they did was show different houses which looked like local properties. After this past year of working diligently to dispel the myths of reverse mortgages and seeing the articles still popping up, sometimes you begin to wonder.

After all, we were able to save 8 houses this year alone from going to foreclosure sale that were less than 14 days away from sale and one closed in just 8 days and on the very day before it was scheduled to go to sale at auction!

This does not include the countless borrowers who were behind in the payments or were feeling the crunch of the monthly mortgage payments in this economy. So these were all wonderful people who now never have to make another monthly mortgage payment and yes, they do have to pay their taxes and insurance, but they are breathing a sigh of relief as they either have the relief from the burden of the mortgage payment, the cash from their reverse mortgage to make their lives easier or a combination of both.

So you would think that would be a good thing for many people and they would write about that, wouldn't you?! Apparently not...you just don't see too many articles out there in the Wall Street Journal, in Consumer Reports or on any of the major news sites telling about all the great things that have happened to people as a result of their reverse mortgages.

But this message goes out to a very special lady who has touched all our hearts this Christmas. AnaLia lives in Southern California and she took the time to call our office and leave a message on our answering system that says thanks to our help and her reverse mortgage, Christmas is coming back to their house this year and how happy they all are.

We have several messages we keep now and play back from time to time from borrowers who are crying with joy whose houses were saved from foreclosure, who had other circumstances with which we were able to help, and now we have AnaLia.

It's times like these and people like AnaLia who always remind us that we believe in the good that reverse mortgages can do for so many when done for the right reasons. So we wish everyone a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and Happy Holidays.
